    We had a triple tube feeder before that was just worn out. We are very happy with this replacement. It is laid out very nicely and the cleaning features at the bottom of the feeder are very helpful. The top is a copper plastic. Overall, I would recommend this feeder to anyone considering it. It does not come with a pole, so if you want to mount it in the ground, you will need to order the pole as well.

    Im very happy with the bird feeder and the birds are really liking it also, its nice that theres 2 levels for the birds to get feed from. Only two things I wasnt happy with, is it doesnt come with a pole and the second level didnt come with the perches for the birds to sit on.

    This birdfeeder was advertised as a copper and it is copper colored plastic! The size was not given and it is larger than I would have wanted. Needless to say, I will not trust Amazon for anymore purchases unless I have actually seen the product somewhere else.

    This is one of three effective feeders I use that deter squirrels. The birds love it and visit it often, but I no longer have problems with squirrels. The feeder is easy to fill and hang, even on a fairly high pole, since the hanging wire is semi-rigid. With six ports from which the birds can get seeds it allows for plenty of aviary activity. While a climbing squirrel could cause seeds to fall to the ground even though they couldnt eat directly from the feeder, a baffle on my pole makes access doubly tough. It just isnt worth it to them, I guess, since they no longer come around. The birds themselves drop plenty of seeds on the ground and its the rare squirrel who tries to climb the pole anymore. I like this feeder and would buy another if needed. Of all my feeders, this is the birds favorite.

    Truly a squirrel proof feeder. Squirrels jump up on it 2-3 times a day and leave without a seed. This is the second one I bought. My first feeder has been working perfectly for 2 years. Have not had any problems clogging. Got a great price and quick free shipping from P&M International on Amazon.

    Ive had this feeder for a few months now and it works perfectly. I live in the Puget Sound WA area and maybe my gray squirrels are not that bright, but they have not figured out a way to get the seed other than waiting on the ground for the birds to drop it.

    I like this feeder a lot for the price and the birds love it too. They seem to like how it spins on the hanger as it is hung by a flexible cable rather than a rigid hook. This one empties long before my other feeder which is a Brome Squirrel Buster Plus. Of course that could be because the Plus model has a much larger capacity than this one. I cant really say how squirrel proof it is as we dont have very many squirrels. We do have a few squirrels and Ive seen them try to get to the feeder, but they dont seem to be very successful. Also, it appears that this feeder will be very easy to clean when the time comes.

    We have had this bird feeder for years but unfortunately, it was just pulled down and destroyed by black bears when we left it out overnight accidentally. The quality has been great, it hardly weathered at all over the years. It does a perfect job of keeping the squirrels and larger birds off of it. Another benefit is that the seed stays inside the unit so when it rains, the seed stays dry. Ive given this bird feeder to a family member as a Christmas gift idea for us to replace the one recently destroyed because we liked it so much and want to have another!

    Only had the bird feeder up a week or so. So far the small birds love it. We have had a blue jay on and it only partly closed down but did hinder the bird some what for feeding. Have not had any squirrels try it out yet. Feel it was a worth while investment.

    This is my first bad experience with Amazon. I ordered this for a Christmas gift. It came shipped in original box and was beat up badly in transit. No time to return before Christmas and now I must give a gift that looks like I bought it at a rummage sale. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

    This feeder worked fine for about two weeks, until the blue jays realized that they could perch IN THE FOOD HOLES and eat out of adjacent holes, thereby foiling the perch weighting mechanism.

    Brome had better go back to the drawing board this feeder just is not clever enough for certain species.

    This is a big feeder so refilling is minimized. While little birds can enjoy several models, medium sized birds need the extra perch space this feeder provides. For whatever reasons, the Indigo Buntings prefer this feeder even though theyre small and the Red-Breasted Grosbeaks dont fit on the small perches of my other feeders so this is the only one they come to. The little birds use it as well as the others.

    Squirrels, of course, cant get any food from it, although they can get the ring off sometimes. Theres nothing else for them to get a grip on although they have tried, but apparently the word went out, because they dont come around anymore. Ive got the ring on there pretty tight at this point. There are easy directions if you have to replace it or tighten it.

    The feeder is also guaranteed forever so if the ring gets lost for any reason, it will be replaced free. You dont actually need the ring, as there are perches around the bottom with access to the seed openings and not using it even further deters squirrels, but my birds seem to like it. Even though the Grosbeaks are only in my area for a short time, they are so pretty, Im eager to provide an environment the attracts them.

    The large tube of this feeder makes it easier to fill than other tube feeders and its easy to hang high as it has a rigid hanger that allows you to hold it over your head to reattach on a tall pole. It is a durable feeder and popular with the birds because they can still feed in large numbers even when the feeder is almost empty since all the feedholes are around the bottom. A great squirrel proof feeder. Highly recommended.

    I bought this in the Fall of 2007. The springs that keep the squirrels out popped off and I could not find them. Basically shut down the access to the feeder. This thing rusted out as well. Looked great but didnt work very well. This feeder was prone to fail. Waste of money.

    This is an excellent bird feeder. Squirrels just give up when they get on and the holes close up from their weight. Its the first and only squirrel free feeder Ive ever had. Well worth the price and Ive recommended it to all my friends.

    Opeths albums are the greatest pieces of art to ever come about in the course of human history. If you buy this album you will be given a gift greater than anything I can possibly put into words.

    Thats exactly what Opeth is not only today, but almost a decade now. At least since the magnum opus Blackwater Park was released. Akerfeldt is in my opinion if not the biggest, probably one of most talented people in music industry today. And am not talking only about the area of metal, am talking about the whole music scene of the planet. His ability to create sounds that get deep inside of you and always haunt you is absolutely magnificent. His ability to find always the best possible musicians to support him as the vehicle of Opeth is even more magnificent (Martin is a MONSTER behind the drums). And we should not forget Mikaels vocals which remain perfect. His ability to change his vocals in such a level and bacome at one moment a growling monster ready to rip you, and again return in a melodic harmony that makes you dream of other spaces is indeed terryfing.
    Above all is the songs of cource and i believe that is a waste of time to repeat all the time tha same again and again. If you think of listening to Watershed just stop thinking. Buy it and you will remember that Opeth is a group of artists that worth their money until the last cent.
    We are talking probably about the real meaning of intelligent music here.
    My second Opeth disappointment

    Opeth is without a doubt my favorite band of all time. I was looking forward to Watershed a great deal. Unfortunately, it left me in the same frame of mind as Deliverance. I realize Im in the minority of Opeth fans in saying this, but Deliverance was my least-favorite album of theirs. At least, until Watershed came out -- it now takes the bottom spot. Production is great, augmented instrumentation (strings, oboes) are a nice touch, Mikaels clean singing continues to impress. But the simple fact is that Martin Lopez is a god among men and no one can possibly replace him, period. Other reviewers have commented on the albums lack of focus and I agree. Im all for being eclectic and embracing diverse influences, but the entity being influenced must have some innate cohesion, which Watershed doesnt. Ive done my duty by purchasing and listening to it a dozen or so times, but to be honest I doubt it will make an appearance in my CD player more than once a year. I hope they get back on track with their next release because as I said at the outset, they are absolutely my favorite band.
    So far, Watershed is the best album of 2008!

    Opeths last release, Ghost Reveries, was named top album of 2005 by many sites across the internet. This time, Opeth is back with 2008 release Watershed, and a lot of expectations from the fans. Watershed features new guitarist Fredrik kesson (Arch Enemy) and new drummer Martin "Axe" Axenrot, whos been filling in for Martin Lopez since the Reverie tours.

    Throughout their career Opeth has been notorious for diversity while maintaining a distinctive style of music, and Watershed proves that Opeth has not lost their golden touch.

    Watershed begins with beautiful, "Coil." Coil is a soft and tranquil song with a soothing twelve-string and nylon acoustic touch with layers of keyboards. Mike sings very melodic on Coil and brought in Axes girlfriend Nathalie Lorichs as a guest vocalist on the song to add a more refining touch. Coil is on the shorter side, just over three minutes in length, but its a very pretty song and a wonderful addition into the Opeth song catalog.

    As always, Opeth paves the way from melodic transitions into heart stopping, death metalesque styles of music. "Heir Apparant" is roughly nine minutes of epic Opeth metal without melodic vocals, but the diversity comes from some dark acoustic interludes and a slide guitar solo. Heir Apparant is dark, brutal and probably the heaviest song theyve written since "Wreath" the Deliverance album.

    Enter "The Lotus Eater" as track number three. The Lotus Eater is the perfect display of Opeths diversity and progressive nature packed into a nine minute song. This song has wonderful solos, heavy blast beat drumming, lots of death growls, but the song balances out with melodic guitar and vocal work, some jazz twists and a mellotron solo. Simply put, this song is amazing and a pleasure to enjoy.

    A note to all of those progressive rock fans out there: dont feel as if Opeths neglecting you with Watershed. Instead, its quite the opposite. "Burden" comes to Watershed as a little homage to the mid 70s Scorpions style ballads. This song has it all for the musicians. Burden starts off with a keys intro and leads into full band accompaniment with Mikes melodic vocals. The simplicity of the melody on Burden allows for countless guitar solos (about: four at the end, concluding with a harmony arrangement and three lead guitars over vocals melodies throughout the song) a keyboard solo and amazing guitar and vocal harmonies.

    If there was a weakness to Watershed, its definitely here with "Porcelain Heart." Honestly, this song is way too long at eight minutes. Porcelain Heart rehashes up some of the riffs from Ghost Reveries "The Grand Conjuration." But to add fuel to the fire, this song feels like it was a copy and paste job through Pro Tools (recording software). This is a very pretty song, with only clean tone vocals over lots of nylon guitar work. Porcelain Heart also has its heavy moments and plenty of double bass drumming, but the song just feels jumbled and a bit too long. Personally, I feel the five minute radio/music video edit of Porcelain Heart should have been the album version.

    "Hessian Peel" is definitely the hardest song to portray in words. Its nearly a twelve minutes epic, with lots of progressive transitions. Starting off with a bass note drone, leading into some bluesy riffs and a wonderful melodic feel, Hessian Peel transists into a death metal segment back into a beautiful acoustic segment only to finish heavy and drop into a bass guitar and keyboard finale. This is definitely a must hear song to any Opeth fan or newbie getting into the band.

    "Hex Omega" is a wonderful song thats perfect for closing out the album. Dark, eerie and proggy, Hex Omega seems to be the least memorable song on the album, but it has this great vibe to it.

    Bonus content: Since this album comes with the two-disc CD and DVD edition, theres some wonderful additions to the album. First, a 5.1 mix of the album is included on the DVD disc. The mix is a lot better than Ghost Reveries 5.1 and Dream Theaters 5.1 Systematic Chaos however, if anyone has an SACD player or a DVD-A (MLP lossless) player, the 5.1 mix here doesnt compare to the higher resolution mixes. If youre looking for perfection, pick up Porcupine Trees Lightbulb Sun, Stupid Dream or Fear of a Blank Planet on DVD-A and get a player capable of handling the format! Back to the Watershed 5.1 mix, its clean, the panning is done well, but it is missing the punch that a great 5.1 mix should have.

    Three extra songs are also included. First is "Derelict Heards." This song should have made the album cut and fell between Burden and Porcelain Heart. Its a very pretty song at times and has great transitions into death metal segments. Similar to The Lotus Eater, Derelict Heards definitely shows off Opeths musicianship and song writing capabilities. Second is the Robin Trower cover, "Bridge of Sighs." This is an amazing cover, true to the original and done with an Opeth vibe. Third is a second cover song, "Den Stndiga Resan." This song is wonderful, but spoken all in Swedish. Den Stndiga Resan is a beautiful acoustic ballad with a few great blues solos.

    Overall, this Opeth - Watershed is a must have album for any progressive metal fan. As of now, its still my pick for album of 2008 and is the perfect follow up to Opeths last release Ghost Reveries. Check it out, Watershed is a must hear!

    I dont write many reviews so this will be my short analysis of the Watershed album.

    Dont worry about the line-up change, the drumming is fantastic and does not fall short of Opeths high standards. The new lead guitarist can shred, which opeth have lacked for so long. Dont get me wrong, Peter was a fantastic guitarist, but the new, ex-arch enemy guitarist is beter suited for the Death Metal side of things. The song writing is very diverse.

    First of all there is Coil. A mellow, clean vocalled track with some female vocals which are realy nice. It sorts of starts where ghost reveries left off.
    Then there is Heir Apparent. People are confused about this track, this is not Opeths heaviest track, that would probably be the moor or Dirge for November, this is Opeths most BRUTAL track, the most typical death metal song they have done. Very fast, good guitar solo, very low vocals, with perfect synths adding a sort of black metal feel at certain points.

    Lotus eater. An other fast brutal track, more singing but lots of growling involved, this track has a very Dream Theater moment with the keys, base and drums taking the lead for a groovy breakdown.

    Burden. A mellow soft track with echoed vocals and smooth guitar and key solos toward the end. The track finishes with a beautiful sounding acoustic guitar piece.

    Porcelian Heart. The single, a spooky track, softer but far more atmospheric. The single is a cut, shortened version of the track.

    Hussain Peel. Very Ghost Reveries. Starts soft with an atmosperic build up to some great death metal moments.By this point you are thinking, "thank goodness" because you havnt heard death metal on the album for some time now. After the brutality there is a short pause and then into some great, groovy singing still with heavier feel of things.

    Hex Omega. Not a soft track but there are no growls on this one. Its sort of like a Fair Judgement. Its a heavier track but its not metal.

    Overal i love this album, it is a much softer Opeth album but it is also more typically death meatal.

    Yeah Opeth have changed but they are still amazing, they have not decended. They have diversified even more, but its a good thing.

    Never mind the projects odd couple, "Hes got a girlfriend so does she" marketing shuck. This is a musical love affair in all its splendor. Produced by the seemingly chameleonic producer T Bone Burnett (who previously revived traditional bluegrass with spectacular success on O Brother, Where Art Thou?), the septuagenarian legend and his unlikely contemporary foil affectionately court a dozen songs from the Louis Armstrong repertoire with the warmth and natural grace that have been a deceptively effortless Bennett trademark for 50-plus years. The pair kick proceedings off with a playful, irony-free "Exactly Like You," then perform a tender vocal waltz across both the ages and the masterful, sympathetic orchestrations of the late Peter Matz, one of Bennetts longtime collaborators. But its on the more melancholy performances, like "If We Never Meet Again," "Im Confessin," and the Armstrong perennials "Wonderful World" and "Lucky Old Sun," that the pair tap into something akin to timeless musical telepathy. Her own talents hardly in need of burnishing, lang invests the project with some gratifying new smokiness and is rewarded with a postgraduate course in saloon singing for the ages.     Listening to Bennett on this CD is like listening to post-1965 Sinatra. Theyre both just faking it, but, due to their iconic status, they get away with it. On this CD, Lang just plain carries Tony, which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

    Take a pass on this one and the Duets album age has caught up with Bennett. Instead, give a listen to Fifty Years: The Artistry of Tony Bennett. Hearing his early material will make the deterioration in Bennetts voice quite obvious and make you wonder if its really the same vocalist.

    Time marches on and its cruel what it has done to Bennetts range, but, thankfully, the great work of his early and middle years is still around....

    I love the duet concept records and I am a big k.d. Lang fan and when I heard this record was coming out I was very excited. A wonderful combination of voices singing classics, and the title track makes this record perfect. I was not a big Tony Bennett fan beforehand, but became one because of this.

    "A Wonderful World,"(2002), a collection of duets by Tony Bennett and K.D. Lang, to songs inspired by the legendary New Orleans trumpeter Louis Armstrong, included "What a Wonderful World," "Exactly Like You," and "You Can Depend on Me." It was produced by the near-legendary T Bone Burnett, and includes trumpet work by Scott Hamilton. Of course, in 2002, the New York-born crooner was 76 years old and his voice was not what it once was: but still, the embers of it, with its liquidity, smoothness, intonation and phrasing are enough to cast his light upon the world. Critic Howard Garwood wrote of him, "He has the face youd want on your neighborhood bar owner - seamed, rumpled, and infinitely kind.... Its the face of a man who has seen life and triumphed, and who proclaims his joy of living through one of the best sets of pipes in the business."

    And as for K.D. Langs voice, 2002 found it still in top form. Its a thing of unearthly, silken beauty, a voice that comes along only once in a generation: in her case, from Alberta, Canada. I remember seeing her once on late night television, early in her career, wearing the silliest cowgirl outfit and hopping up and down, and wishing I could tell her that with her voice, she didnt need to hop, she could leave that to Hermans Hermits. Of course, I couldnt, but she seems to have figured it out, anyway.

    The title song, as done by this pair, boasts all the colors of the rainbow. And some of the quieter ballads are still waters running deep, indeed. Just listen, to say, "La Vie En Rose," or "If We Never Meet Again."

    I am lucky enough to have seen this pair present this repertory in person, at New Yorks Radio City Music Hall, in the most striking of circumstances, to wit: late September, 2001, about two weeks after the 9/11 destruction of the World Trade Center, and so much of downtown Manhattan. I already had my ticket, and anxiously watched the paper to see if they would keep the date: they did, and so did I. So did most of the ticket holders, I believe: there were empty seats, but not that many. Took ages to get through security, of course. You can believe that emotions ran high in that theater, on stage and in the audience: you could describe it as a love-in. And as for the music that came from that stage - it was simply blessed, and unforgettable. Lucky for all of us, the music, so evanescent in live performance, stays with us on this cd.

    This starts out very slow, with slowly going over parts of the bow and holding the bow. Then finally you play Mary had a Little Lamb. Then the rest is just a concert of her playing.

    The accompanying CD is even worse IMHO - just some of the music in the book, no announcement or commentary or even enough pause between the tracks, and then again her concert

    A student of mine brought this DVD to my attention not long ago. I have been using the books from the ABCs series in my violin studio with excellent results, so I was hopeful it would be at the same high level. It turned out to be a very worthwhile supplement for several of my beginners. Ms. Rhodas presentation of beginning technique is a useful home-based reinforcement to my in-lesson teaching -- very good on bow use, finger position, posture, and good practice habits. In fact, theres nothing here I can find fault with. Ms. Rhoda knows her stuff and knows how to convey it clearly.

    First, I must say that I am a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, since his early days as the man with no name.....
    I bought this movie without even watching it once, I saw the actors list and read the plot on the back of the dvd and thought to myself "This got to be the hell of a movie".
    After finishing I didnt think the same. I mean, it has great actors and the story is great but it has something missing for my opinion, things get smooth really easy at the end.
    However I havent regreted the fact of buying it, is a good movie, not just as good as you could imagine.
    The caracter played by Eastwood is, opposite to what you may think a great father, and he would do anything to protect his daughter.
    Ed Hackmans caracter is a coward hidding behind secret services... I love him when he loses (like in Runaway Jury for example).

    Anyway, just watch the movie and since is a Eastwood movie, you already know who will win at the end........

    Absolute Power DVD

    Absolute Power, based on the book, Absolute Power was made in 1997(remember that date). In the movie Clint Eastwood plays a master thief who steals to support his art. He happens to break into a Washington D.C. mansion to burglarize the walk-in safe when he witnesses the murder of a very powerful mans wife through the one-way mirror.

    Eastwood directs and produced this movie. One wonders if he was, also, the key grip for the movie, whatever that is.

    Remember the date? Guess who was President then. Hint, his initials were W.J.C.

    Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
    When first we practice to deceive.

    Highly recommended for fans of Clint Eastwood.

    This film is one of my all time Clint Eastwood favorites. He plays the kind of semi bad guy that you root for. You almost hope he pulls off the big heist and gets away with it and lives happily ever after because he is Clint. If you can accept the fact that this plot borders on total fantasy, could never happen and defies logic time and time again, you will enjoy the scenario. Lennie Niehaus film score is perfect in creating the eery and sinister mood throughout the film and Clints own playing of the piano theme is beautiful and haunting. Gene Hackman as the president is truly the screens best on screen bad guy and Ed Harris is his usual natural and believable self as the "live alone" head detective. With that being said you must ask yourself: Why and how were the presidents trysts unaccounted for by his staff and the media? When E.G. Marshalls wife was murdered there was apparently no investigation even though he was very prominent. When Clint met his daughter at the outside cafe the whole area was surrounded by police but apparently Clint didnt see any of them. When the secret service man was killed in the hospital apparently no questions were asked and no investigation took place and Clint was never a suspect. When the president presumably committed suicide E.G. Marshall was never suspected even though he was the only witness and no questions were asked why the president fatally stabbed himself at that specific time. Minor details, right?

    Absolute Power is about corruption - absolute power corrupts absolutely. Eastwood directs himself in this story of a very professional burglar who finds himself trapped in a closet while a murder is committed in the presence of none other than the American President. What is interesting about this fairly predictable plot is that he seems interested in portraying NOT Dirty Harry. The now aging Luther, having done his time and paid his debt to society, wants nothing more than to reconnect with his only child, a very successful attorney. She, on the other hand, disdains his overtures, knowing a tiger cannot change his stripes. The detective on the murder case convinces her to contact Luther but, not surprisingly, the bad guys have tapped her phone.
    Seeing Clints softer, human side was a pleasure. If you study his real life, you know he is highly intelligent and concerned with the good of others, and its satisfying to see those qualities on the screen.

    I live in the Houston area and the squirrels are a huge problem for my bird feeders. I took a chance when I purchased this feeder. Within one week, the squirrels had knocked down the feeder and broken the top hinge. It is still usable, but it did not solve my squirrel problem and Im on to look for other feeders.

    Bird feeder has solved the squirrel problem for the time being. I preferred the smaller, cylinder style feeder as far as birdwatching goes, but couldnt find one that was squirrel proof.

    Have two Heritage Farms bird feeders, both built slightly stronger than a tank. One is "squirrel-proof" and seems to live up to that claim. The other is an older non squirrel resistant model (18 yrs) still totally intact and doing the job after that many winters/summers at a harsh 8000 ft. altitude. For some reason, the birds like the older one better. But of course, so do the squirrels. Last winter, even a female elk thought it would be fun to bang her head against the feeder to loosen the sunflower seed. Would recommend Heritage Farms if you want virtually a lifetime investment however.

    I bought this feeder through Amazon. This was my third attempt to get one that wouldnt primarily feed squirrels. The feeder is really great! I have watched the squirrels try to get into it and the cover just slides over the food. The feeder attracts a great variety of birds and hold about 10 lbs of feed at a time so you dont have to fill it very often. (the birds knock a lot of seed on the ground so theres plenty down there for squirrels). My feeder is hung from a tree branch and not mounted on the pole. My only wish: a better color or color options. But this is a great feeder and much better than anything you will find at your local Lowes or Home Depot.
